About the journal

Publication Cover

Deleuze and Guattari Studies

Deleuze and Guattari Studies does not limit itself to any one field: it is neither a philosophy journal, nor a literature journal, nor a cultural studies journal, but all three and more.

Print ISSN: 2398-9777Online ISSN: 2398-9785

A bold and genuinely interdisciplinary journal, Deleuze and Guattari Studies aims to challenge orthodoxies, encourage debate, invite controversy, seek new applications, propose new interpretations, and above all make new connections between scholars and ideas. It does this by publishing a wide variety of scholarly work on Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari, including articles that focus directly on their work, but also critical reviews of the growing field, as well as new translations and annotated bibliographies. We are open to new work on Deleuze and Guattari from any field in the humanities and social sciences.

Instructions to Authors

Journal Article Submissions

Edinburgh University Press is committed to the dissemination of knowledge and we invite authors to submit manuscripts to a wide range of EUP journals across a variety of subject areas.

Each Edinburgh University Press journal has its own submission guidelines. The full instructions to contributors can be accessed from each journal’s homepage. Before submitting your work, please refer to the journal’s submission guidelines to ensure the most efficient processing of your article through the peer-review and publication process.

To see a complete list of our journals and to access guidelines for submitting an article to a specific title please visit: Browse all journals

Sample style guidelines can be downloaded here.

Digital Illustrations

Please refer to the EUP guidelines for the submission of digital illustrations for information on the required format(s) and resolution for electronic images.

Optimise your article for search discoverability

There are a number of ways to ensure your article is found by readers, who tend to find articles online via search engines (for example Google, Yahoo) rather than browsing. It is important to optimise your article so that it is more likely to be discovered by readers.

Article Title

Try to make the title of the article as clear, accurate and descriptive as possible.

Abstracts

Every article published on EUP Journals Online will display an abstract. Where an abstract is not supplied by the author, Edinburgh University Press will extract the first-page image of the article print PDF to post as an abstract on EUP Journals Online.

The advantage of including an abstract is that search engines pick up its key words and phrases. It is important to ensure the abstract spells out clearly what the article covers and mentions any terms that people searching for such an article might be likely to use.

Keywords

Up to six keywords should be supplied with every article submitted for publication. Keywords should be repeated in the title or abstract and reflect the content of the article, again to ensure search engine optimisation.
