Hosted on behalf of Journal of Roman Archaeology L.L.C.  The journal will be concerned with Italy and all parts of the Roman world from about 700 B.C. to about A.D. 700. It will exclude the prehistoric period but include the Etruscan period. It is intended to be Mediterranean-wide in its coverage, and is not intended to give priority to any particular geographical regions within the Roman world. All aspects of archaeology, by the broadest interpretation of that word, will be relevant for inclusion, including historical material which has an archaeological component or which is likely to be relevant for archaeologists. Instructions to Authors Please contact the editor in advance of sending a submission, so that its suitability may first be assessed and so that the publication schedule can be considered. When submitting manuscripts, please include two hard copies (photocopies will suffice) of each illustration and one printed copy of the text. Tables should be submitted as Word Documents and not as Excel Files. Please do not send us manuscripts "mark-up" mode. Texts may be sent by attachment (please send .doc, not .docx file) but we need a hard copy of any pages containing special characters and Greek, Hebrew, Russian and other languages using different scripts. We work on a Mac. Illustrations should not be sent by attachment; rather, images should be sent on a CD or in hard copy as photographs, drawings, plans, and transparencies (slides). Please do not ask us to download images from other sources. We prefer that authors do not scan images which were originally prepared in hard copy or as traditional photographs and slides; we prefer to scan them ourselves or the printer will scan them. When providing digital images, ensure that the resolution is well above 300 dpi measured according to the desired final size of the printed image.
