About the journal

Dynamis Plc was formed in 1995 by Andrew and Marcus Markou as a web publishing business to complement a family publication "Businesses and Premises For Sale".

BusinessesForSale.com, originally operated as a free bulletin board service and acted as an extension to the magazine.

The magazine ceased publication in 1998 but the website continued to flourish independently. By the summer of 1999 the site had become the largest global database of businesses for sale spanning over 100 countries and attracting many thousands of buyers and sellers daily.

In March 2000, .7m of angel funding was raised to commercially develop BusinessesForSale.com and other related web titles in the B2B sector.

Dynamis is an Orthodox Christian ministry providing meditations on the daily Bible readings of the Holy Orthodox Church's Lectionary. It is published by the Education Committee of St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral. Its purpose is to encourage the faithful in daily reading and reflection on the Holy Scriptures. We are interested in spreading the illumination and joy of daily Orthodox Bible reading.

This service is offered free of charge via e-mail subscription. To subscribe, please send a blank e-mail message to orthodoxdynamis-subscribe@yahoogroups.com (click on the address for an e-mail form). Readings are sent a day at a time, one day in advance.

Printed copies are available for a nominal fee to cover postage. Please write the Cathedral office for further information.

GLORY TO THE HOLY, CONSUBSTANTIAL, AND UNDIVIDED TRINITY!

Launched in December 2001, FranchiseSales.com helps franchisors recruit genuine franchisees. The site hosts over 800 franchise opportunities across the globe.

The two websites flourished at a time when many other websites did not. This is a testament to the company and a reflection that Dynamis had successfully leveraged online media to connect business entrepreneurs.

2006 saw Dynamis officially celebrate 10 years online. We also launched BusinessInACan.com and Ubops.com this year. Both sites are currently in their beta launch phases. These sites respectively deliver networking and advice to the business start-up community and provide an online marketplace for the exchange of business opportunities. The official launches of these sites will be Spring 2007.

We are a privately held company located in central London. As well as our publishing arm we also provide online technical services.

Our technical expertise has placed us at the forefront of providing online classification services with search engine optimisation to our clients. We provide fully managed solutions that power online classifieds sections to such sites as FT.com, Telegraph.co.uk and Fish4.co.uk; thereby realising the online publishing objectives of many media companies.
