Appearing quarterly, AMERICAN IMAGO publishes innovative articles on the history and theory of psychoanalysis as well as on the reciprocal relations between psychoanalysis and the broad range of disciplines that constitute the human sciences. Since 2001, the journal has been edited by Peter L. Rudnytsky, who has made each issue a "special issue" and introduced a topical book review section, with a guest editor for every Fall issue. Box 117310 University of Florida Gainesville, FL 32611 Unsolictied manuscrips will not be returned. Papers may also be sent as e-mail attachments to: plr@english.ufl.edu. Manuscripts must be double spaced thoughout, including quotations and references. Explanatory notes should be kept to a minimum, and the author-date system of citation used in the test. Footnotes and refrences should conform to the style indicated below. The list of references should include only works cited in the essay. The alphabetized reference list should be titled "References" with entries in tbe following format: Solomon, Maynard. 1981. Franz Schubert's "My Dream."
