Description
differences: A Journal of Feminist Cultural Studies first appeared in 1989 at the moment of a critical encounter—a head-on collision, one might say—of theories of difference (primarily Continental) and the politics of diversity (primarily American). In the ensuing years, the journal has established a critical forum where the problematic of differences is explored in texts ranging from the literary and the visual to the political and social. differences highlights theoretical debates across the disciplines that address the ways concepts and categories of difference—notably but not exclusively gender—operate within culture.

Communication

Annual Reporting
As stated in the publishing agreement for each journal, the Press prepares financial and circulation reports for the editorial office in the early Fall, after the close of the Press's fiscal year. If interim reports are needed, simply contact the journals editorial manager.

Subscriber Management
The Press plays an active role in keeping your journal subscribers informed of their subscription status. Journal subscribers may login at any time to the My Account area of the Duke University Press Web site to view the status of their subscription, manage their subscriptions, view mailing schedules, etc. They may also choose to take advantage of several features that allow them to personalize their web experience, whether it be the creation or browsing of custom-tagged reading lists or signing up when registering at dukeupress.com to receive RSS feeds and/or promotional emails based on their preferences and scholarly interests.
