About the journal
Comitatus: A Journal of Medieval and Renaissance Studies was first published in 1970 under the auspices of the English Medieval Club at UCLA. It is now a peer-reviewed annual publication of the UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies, under the supervision of the CMRS publications director. Its list of subscribers includes individuals and research libraries throughout the United States and abroad. The yearly subscription rate is $30, plus $3 shipping and handling within the US and $5 abroad

Comitatus: A Journal of Medieval and Renaissance Studies publishes articles by graduate students and recent PhDs in any field of medieval and Renaissance studies. The journal maintains a tradition of gathering work from across disciplines, with a special interest in articles that have an interdisciplinary or cross-cultural scope. |
Instructions to Authors
Comitatus invites the submission of articles by graduate students and recent PhDs in any field of medieval and Renaissance studies. Double-spaced manuscripts should not exceed forty pages in length, and both paper submissions and submission in the form of e-mail attachments in Windows format are accepted. Please include the author's name, affiliation, and academic history, along with an e-mail address. Submissions are due on February 1 of each year, and the editorial board makes its selections by the following May 1, for publication in September. Editorial Board
The editorial board is composed, on an annual basis, of UCLA graduate students in medieval and Renaissance fields. Please refer to the individual volumes.
