About the journal
Biography
An Interdisciplinary Quarterly
For thirty years, Biography has been an important forum for well-considered biographical scholarship. It features stimulating articles that explore the theoretical, generic, historical, and cultural dimensions of life-writing; and the integration of literature, history, the arts, and the social sciences as they relate to biography. Each issue also offers insightful reviews, concise excerpts of reviews published elsewhere, an annual bibliography of works about biography, and listings of upcoming events, calls for papers, and news from the field.

Submission Guidelines
Unsolicited manuscripts are welcome. They should be double-spaced and approximately 2,500 to 7,500 words in length, including bibliography and endnotes. Authors should follow the MLA Handbook or the standard style sheet in their fields. Please include a 50-word abstract and a biographical note of one or two sentences. All copyrights are held by the Biographical Research Center unless other arrangements are agreed upon.
Biography follows a policy of double-blind submissions. Authors should submit two copies of any manuscript; their names should not appear anywhere on either copy. Manuscripts should be accompanied by a cover letter containing the author's name and address. Until a decision is reached, no one involved with the evaluation process will know the identity of the author.
Inquiries are welcome. Please address questions about book reviews to the Book Review Editor. Send all editorial correspondence to:
