About the journal
Viator
Viator, the Center's scholarly journal, publishes articles of distinction in any field of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, viewed broadly as the period between late antiquity and the mid-seventeenth century. In keeping with its title, the journal gives special consideration to articles that cross frontiers: articles that focus on meetings between cultures, that pursue an idea through the centuries, that employ the methods of different disciplines simultaneously.
Viator is published in three issues per year. Each issue is predominately in English, with occasional articles in French, German, Italian, and Spanish. In addition to a print version, each issue appears simultaneously online at the Brepols MetaPress website, where the PDFs of individual articles can be purchased and downloaded. Subscriptions to Viator are available as print only, print and online, and online only and can be ordered from Brepols Publishers in Belgium: periodicals@brepols.net.
