Aims and Scope
Studia Linguistica aims at publishing high quality, original papers within the field of general linguistics, such as syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, pragmatics, psycholinguistics and computational linguistics. The editors welcome reviews of new monographs in the field as well as initiatives for thematic issues with guest editors.

Original papers only will be considered. Manuscripts are accepted for review with the understanding that the same work has not been and will not be published elsewhere and that all persons listed as authors have given their approval for the submission of the paper; further, that any person cited as a source of personal communication has approved such citation.
Once accepted, authors are asked to provide a final hard copy (or PDF) and a machine-readable electronic version, prefereably in MS Word. the hard copy and the machine-readable file must be identical, and cannot be altered at proof stage. Electronic submissions of final versions may be made to: arthur.holmer@ling.lu.se.
Style Intending contributors should note the following points:
(a) Footnotes, figures and tables must be submitted on separate sheets. Figures must be camera-ready originals, preferably laser printouts. Footnotes must be kept to an absolute minimum. (b) Phonetic transcriptions should, wherever possible, make use of the symbols and conventions of the International Phonetic Alphabet. (c) Bibliographical references at the end of each article or review should strictly conform to the following model: (n-dash for page number, small capitals for authors' names)

References made in the article or review should be incorporated in the text in the following way:
Chomsky & Halle (1968:169) claim that... Various authors (e.g. Chomsky & Halle 1968, Kiparsky 1969) claim that...
After the reference list, the author's name, affiliation and address (including e-mail address) should be included.
All copy should be double-spaced throughout (including footnotes). Only one side of the sheet should be used and margins of 3cm should be left on all four sides of each sheet. All pages (including footnotes, figures and references) should be numbered consecutively. Use indenting for beginnings of paragraphs.
Titles and headings. Titles should be written in upper-case letters and centered. Author name(s) should be written in italics, lower-case, and centered below title. Major section headings should be written in bold and aligned left. Subsection headings should be written in italics. Sub-subsection headings should be written using normal letter style and the text should begin on the same line as the heading.
Examples and Figures. Examples and figures should be numbered consecutively, within parentheses (18). Examples in languages other than English should be glossed and translated, and all examples should be formatted as follows:
(18) a. This is an example. b. And this is another one.
Quotations. Short quotations within the text should be surrounded by double quotation marks. Longer quotations should be single-spaced and indented as a separate paragraph.
Abstract. The typescript of an article should be accompanied by an abstract of about 100 words giving an informative summary of the conceptual content of the article.
Proofs. First proofs only will be sent to the author for checking and should be returned, within seven days of receipt, to the Editorial Secretary. To keep costs down, only absolutely essential corrections against manuscripts can be accepted.
Offprints. The corresponding author will receive a PDF file of their article free of charge. The corresponding author should undertake to forward copies of the PDF file to their co-authors.
